The Maple Leaf Grill has been a neighborhood favorite since it opened its doors in the charming Maple Leaf area of Seattle in 1989. In 1999, the Grill relocated up the street to the light grey house that sits on the corner of 90th and Roosevelt Way NE. The house was built in the 1920's and is on the highest point in north Seattle, with views of Mount Rainier and the Olympic mountains. In January 2004, Pat Paull, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, bought the Maple Leaf Grill becoming the executive chef/owner. Pat Paull promised the loyal neighborhood that he would "bring the Grill back," which is what he's done.

Upon entering the Maple Leaf Grill, you are greeted by our friendly staff in a comfortable, unpretentious environment. Whether on a first date or dining with family and friends, the Maple Leaf can accommodate all (though we recommend reservations for parties of 6 or more), with seating in our cozy dining room or outside on our seasonal patio over looking the herb garden. Guests also have the option of catching a game at the horseshoe shaped bar while keeping warm by the fire.

The rooms are painted chiffon yellow and pumpkin orange with apple green accents, and are filled with inviting yet simple wood tables and chairs. The walls are adorned with eccentric artwork and classic rock 'n' roll photographs of icons such as Aretha Franklin, Jerry Garcia and Jimi Hendrix.

The menu at the Maple Leaf Grill is eclectic "Global" cuisine. The standard menu offers numerous salads, sandwiches and entrées that are made with the freshest ingredients. We also offer "Blackboard Specials" that change every few days and include soups, appetizers, entrée specials and desserts. Recent "Blackboard Specials" have included: Butternut Squash Soup; Grilled Eggplant Caprese with Tomato, Fresh Mozzarella, Basil, and Balsamic jus; Trio of Grilled Lamb Chops with Sauce Framboise; Grilled New York Steak with Shiitake Mushroom-Balsamic jus, served with Yam Mashers and Braised Greens; and Seared Coriander and Sesame Encrusted Ahi Tuna with Ponzu, Jasmine Rice and Braised Greens. Selections from our standard menu include what many consider to be the "Best" Burger in Seattle and one of the Maple Leaf Grill's signature dishes, the Mars Oyster Stew.

The wine list at the Maple Leaf Grill is continuously changing and focuses on moderately priced wines from around the world, many of which are available by the glass. In addition, we serve twelve beers on tap featuring popular local breweries such as Big Time and Hales, as well as international favorites like Guinness and Pilsner Urquell.

Whether enjoying a B-52 coffee by the roaring fire, a cold martini after work, a romantic dinner, or celebrating a birthday with friends, the Maple Leaf Grill is truly Great Food served by Good People in a Nice Place.
